The problem is that panerai is very inconsistent about AR coating - some are blue, some are light yellow, some are green (seriously). I have never worn a watch without AR coating and at any point I felt like the lack of AR coating was an issue in any way. I also agree that AR coating can diminish how good the glass on a watch looks for two reasons: 1. The AR coating can make the glass less clear. 2. The AR coating, when applied on the outside, can scratch.
